Import Settings

Starting in Strategy One (May 2026), you can set whether document and dashboards import into the current slide or new slides.

MicroStrategy ONE (September 2024) adds enhanced PowerPoint Add-in import settings.

Your import options will save until you manually update them.

Hide Extra Grid White Spaces

You can enable this import setting to remove additional white spaces in grid visualizations upon import.

  1. Click More Items in the PowerPoint add-in side panel and click Settings.

  2. Expand the Import section.

  3. Toggle on Hide Extra Grid White Spaces.

Remember Placement

You can enable this import setting so visualizations are imported and placed in a way that reflects it's position in the dashboard.

Due to technical limitations, the functionality tracks the size and position of visualizations relative to the embedded Library window seen during the import process and not to the original dashboard. For more information, see Additional Information on Image Size and Position.

  1. Click More Items in the PowerPoint add-in side panel and click Settings.

  2. Expand the Import section.

  3. Toggle on Remember placement.

    When this toggle is enabled and visualizations from different pages are selected in one import action, visualizations will be placed on separate slides to reflect their place on the dashboard.

Import Layouts and Pages to Current Slide

Starting in Strategy One (May 2026), you can enable this import setting to import documents and dashboard pages into the current slide. If this setting is disabled, documents and dashboard pages will import into a new slide.

  1. Click More Items in the PowerPoint add-in side panel and click Settings.

  2. Expand the Import section.

  3. Toggle on Import layouts and pages to current slide.
