Advanced Sort Dialog for Bar and Line Chart

Strategy One (May 2026) adds Sort by support for bar and line charts including bar charts that use break-by attributes.

Advanced Sort in Bar or Line Chart Visualizations

  1. Create or edit a dashboard.
  2. Select a bar or line visualization.
  3. In the Editor panel, right-click the attribute or metric to sort and choose Advanced Sort.
  4. Choose a Sort by element form (for example, ID, description, abbreviation, and more).
  5. Choose Ascending or Descending.
  6. Click OK.

Advanced Sort in Break-by Bar Chart Visualizations

  1. Create or edit a dashboard.
  2. Select a bar chart that uses Break-by (for example, stacked bar or percent bar chart).

  3. In the Editor panel, right-click an attribute in the Break-by zone and choose Advanced Sort.

    You can also choose Sort Ascending or Sort Descending to sort by the attribute.

  4. Choose a Sort by element form (for example, ID, description, abbreviation, and more).
  5. Choose Ascending or Descending.
  6. Click OK.
