Access the Advanced Filter Editor and New Qualification Dialogs

Use the Advanced Filter Editor and New Qualification dialogs to set up advanced filtering.

  1. Open a dashboard.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To set up advanced filtering for a visualization:
      1. Click More in the upper right corner of the visualization and choose Edit Filter.
      2. If the grid contains row or column sets, select the tab for the set to filter.
      3. Click Add New Qualification.
    • To set up advanced filtering for a metric:
      1. Right-click the metric in the Datasets panel and choose Create Metric.
      2. In the Functions pane, select one of the following functions to add it to the derived metric definition in the right pane: Avg, Count, First, GeoMean, Last, Max, Median, Min, Mode, Product, Stdev, StdevP, Sum, Var, VarP, Level.
      3. Click Add Filter.

    A derived metric with advanced filtering is also know as a conditional metric.

  3. The New Qualification dialog opens. Create the qualification:
