Attributes are defined by a column or columns in one or more tables, and provide meaningful qualitative context to facts. They serve to set the aggregation level for calculations and for filtering the data that is retrieved from the data warehouse.

You can create attributes in the following ways:

• In Architect, create attributes by importing tables.
• In Developer, create attributes using the Attribute Editor.

• In Workstation and Web, create attributes by importing tables from a data source.

Create attributes identified by a unique ID column for the project table model which import from or map to the database instance.
