Mosaic Sentinel Usage Insights

Starting in Strategy (July 2026), select columns to display on the grid, tabs in the Usage Insight module are reorganized for improved usability, and a new side panel was added for additional details.

Starting in Strategy One (December 2025), view the Usage Insight module for an overview of aggregated usage insights by model, source, and semantic object. Users can select a specific date range for period-based analysis, or use the search to quickly locate relevant information. The following usage is tracked:

  • Model Usage: Displays metrics on how frequently each model is used, including the number of users and executions.

  • Source Usage: Summarizes activity across critical data sources, highlighting the number of users, executions, and data models that depend on each source.

  • Semantic Object Usage: Displays usage patterns for semantic objects, which allows you to identify critical objects based on the number of users and executions.

This module does not operate in real time. Therefore, you may need to refresh the page to view the most recent actions.

Prerequisites

You must have the Use Mosaic Sentinel and Monitor Activity privileges to access Mosaic Sentinel.

View the Usage Insight Module

  1. In the Library sidebar, click Mosaic Sentinel.

  2. Click Usage Insight.

  3. Click one of the following tabs:

    • Data Model Usage: Frequency usage metrics for each model, including user count and execution count.

    • Source Usage: Summarizes activity across critical data sources, highlighting the number of users, executions, and number of data models that depend on each source.

    • Semantic Object Usage: Usage patterns for semantic objects to help users identify critical objects based on the number of users and executions.

  4. Expand the time range selector in the top right and choose the time frame of data you want to view.

  5. Click Apply.

  6. Starting in Strategy (July 2026), click a row to display the following in each tab:

    • Data Model Usage: Displays the execution log, model log, and user log.

    • Semantic Object Usage: Displays the execution log, model log, and user log.

    • Usage Insights: Displays the execution log and user log.

  7. Starting in Strategy (July 2026), click Columns to select the columns to display on the grid.
