Mosaic Model Settings
Use Mosaic Studio settings to customize your modeling functionality, data preparation, and other further customizations.

Create or edit a Mosaic model.

In the left pane, click AI Settings or Others.
AI Settings
Generate Data Preparation Suggestions Toggle on this option to include data preparation suggestions in Mosaic Studio. For more information, see Mosaic Studio Data Preparation Suggestions.
Generate business-friendly names Starting in Strategy One (June 2026), toggle on this option to automatically generate business-friendly object names based on your custom naming instructions.

Customize naming instructions Type instructions for Mosaic Studio to generate names based on your business needs. For example, you can tell Mosaic Studio to keep the prefix in the object names.

Automatically merge matching columns into one attribute Starting in Strategy One (June 2026), toggle on this option to automatically merge attributes with high similarity and recommend lower-similarity attribute link candidates in the Suggestions panel. If this option is toggled off, attribute link candidates will display in the Suggestions panel without automatically merging.
Auto-create highly related Attribute Relationships Toggle on this option to automatically create one-to-many relationships for attributes with a high likelihood of being related and recommend lower likelihood relationships in the Suggestions panel. If this option is toggled off, the detected attribute relationships display in the Suggestions panel. For more information, see Mosaic Studio Modeling Suggestions
Auto-create multi-form attributes Starting in Strategy One (June 2026), toggle on this option to automatically create two-form multi-form attributes with a high likelihood of being related and recommend lower likelihood multi-form attribute candidates in the Suggestions panel. If this option is toggled off, all multi-form attribute candidates display int he Suggestions panel. For more information, see Mosaic Studio Modeling Suggestions.
Others
Sample Size (rows) The data sample size used to query suggestions. The default sample size is 1000. Expand the drop-down lists to change this sample data size if the suggestions are not representative of your data. For more information, see Accept and Dismiss Suggestions.
Auto Join When data is pulled from multiple tables, these tables are initially joined based on user-defined relationships. If no such relationships exist and the option is toggled on, the system automatically joins tables using common attributes to maintain flexibility. If this automatic feature is toggled off, only user-defined relationships are used, offering precise control for advanced Mosaic modeling.
Attribute Outer Join Behavior Starting in Strategy One (June 2026), to enable outer join behavior, expand this drop-down list and choose an outer join behavior type. This option is only available if Auto Join is toggled on and the default value is off.
You can also define default outer join behavior from the data source level. For more information on accessing the Attribute Outer Join Behavior setting in data source properties, see Manage Advanced Properties.
Partition Attribute Expand the drop-down list and choose an attribute for memory partition. For more information, see In-Memory Partition in Mosaic Studio.
Number of Partition Expand the drop-down list and choose a number that fits your business needs. Strategy suggests setting this value to 25% of your machine CPU numbers. For more information, see In-Memory Partition in Mosaic Studio.
Calendar Expand the drop-down list and choose the calendar format the Mosaic model should use.
Column Naming Starting in Strategy One (June 2026), expand the drop-down list and choose a column name display format used in Universal Semantic Layer. Default behavior is defined at the system level. For more information, see Column Naming Configuration.
