Freeform SQL Privileges

Starting in Strategy (July), the following privileges are required for the following freeform SQL (FFSQL) actions:

Scenarios Functionality Required Privileges

Create a FFSQL Report

Open FFSQL Editor, Browse Data Sources, Edit SQL, Save and Open Report, Go to Report Editor

  • Use Freeform SQL Editor
  • Use design mode or Web use Design Mode
  • Bypass schema objects security access checks or Create schema objects
  • Use Architect Editors or Access data from Databases, Google BigQuery, BigData, OLAP, BI tools
  • Modify the list of Report objects (use object browser) or Web modify the list of Report Objects (use object browser -- all objects)
  • Create application objects
  • Web create new Report

Edit Existing FFSQL Report

Click "Edit SQL", Open FFSQL Editor (Editing SQL Mode), Save and Open Report

  • Use Freeform SQL Editor
  • Use design mode or Web use Design Mode
  • Bypass schema objects security access checks or Create schema objects
  • Use Architect Editors or Access data from Databases, Google BigQuery, BigData, OLAP, BI tools

Start from an existing FFSQL Cube, Create New IRR, Open IRR Editor, Click "Edit FFSQL", Open FFSQL Editor, Save IRR

  • Use Report Editor or Web create new Report
