Data Refresh Settings

Starting in Strategy One (June 2026), you can automatically refresh content of a presentation for Strategy for Google Slides™.

Auto refresh works on a presentation level, unlike other settings that are configured on a user level. A refresh can be triggered by any user, within a chosen time interval, after connecting to Strategy for Google Slides™. The data does not reflect information within user privileges and access rights. Auto refresh does not block your ability to manually refresh.

Your import options will save until you manually update them.

1. Click More Itemsin the Google Slides add-in side panel and click Settings.

2. Expand the Data Refresh section.

3. Toggle on Auto Refresh to allow presentations to refresh after a user logs into Strategy for Google Slides™ after the saved time interval has passed.

   This setting is toggled off by default. Once it is enabled, the functionality will be enabled on the presentation level. Therefore, all users will have the setting enabled.

4. In Refresh Interval, set an interval for the presentation to refresh.

   A refresh will only trigger after the interval has passed and a user logs in to a presentation. Auto refresh will not trigger during active user sessions to avoid work interruptions.
