Decertify Datasets and Cubes

When a certified dashboard, document, report, dataset, or cube is no longer considered current or official, it can be decertified by users with the appropriate permissions.

Use Workstation to decertify datasets and cubes. Use Workstation or Library to decertify dashboards, documents, and reports. You can also decertify datasets and cubes in Workstation.

For example, the Marketing department publishes a new, certified dataset for use by all data scientists and analysts, to replace an older, outdated dataset. You decertify the old dataset to indicate that it is no longer considered an official source.

  1. Open the Workstation page.

  2. In the Navigation pane, click Data.
  3. Right-click the object to decertify. A badge icon displays on all certified objects.
  4. Click Decertify.The badge icon disappears from the object to indicate it is no longer certified.
